Stephanie & Larry

There are really no words to describe how special it is to be able to photograph the love and commitment of a family member. My uncle Larry and aunt Stephanie finally tied the knot after thirteen years. I love weddings, and get emotional whether I've known the couple ten days or ten years, but being surrounded by my own relatives while they said their vows was especially moving. Not to mention I already know everyone's names when I need to start barking at people to get it together for the family photos. It's always the most chaotic part of the day.

Their ceremony was beautiful, personal, and extremely heartfelt. Stephanie was even surprised with her something new when it came time to exchange rings and the one she expected to receive had been replaced by something shiny and new. It concluded by releasing butterflies in honor of loved ones unable to be in attendance. We were even blessed to have many of them linger throughout the rest of the evening and even make an appearance during photos.
