Brittany & Andrew

Back in 2016 I had the great pleasure of photographing Brittany and Andrew to celebrate their engagement. This was very special for me, because Brittany and I go way back to the art department of Pacific Lutheran University, even getting to share in studying printmaking abroad in China. I always greatly appreciate being able to photograph fellow artists who not only accept my (sometimes odd) artistic visions, but embrace them with vigor.

At the time they were planning their wedding and unfortunately I had already booked the day they had chosen for another couple. Little did they know that soon their plans would be derailed by not one, but two little heartbeats. Brittany reached out to me and asked if I had any last minute availability during a Thursday afternoon in April. We met on a small patio, near the Post Office on A Street. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they said "I do."

They had chosen that day, specifically, because it was Andrew's birthday. A week earlier, Brittany had asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He looked at her, and simply said, "A wife." As far as love stories go, this wedding will always have a special place in my heart as one of the most romantic.
